I love this quote by Chuck Close. It often repeats itself over and over in my head when I am creating. It is true that when creating art, at least in my experience, that when I sit down to draw or anything else, it often progresses into something completely different that I had not originally intended. However, I do believe that one does need some source of inspiration to get started, whether it be from an image, other works, writing, music or anything else. Do you agree with this quote, or are you stuck somewhere in the middle like me?
