What's In My Beach Bag

The amount of things in my beach bag is actually ridiculous. However, you never know when you're going to need a handful of bobby pins or a hairbrush! What are your must-haves for the beach?

I'm going to the beach in a few weeks, and to get into the Summer mindset, I put together a little collection of things that every girl needs for the beach!

Every beach lover needs... 1) a place by the water, 2) a handful of shells, 3) a blanket for breezy nights, 4) a favorite pair of flip flops, 5) a 'holds everything and then some' bag, 6) SPF 30, 7) effortless beachy waves, 8) a funky bikini, and 9) a cute pair of sunnies. :)

Back To Basics: Madewell

I have always leaned towards a more bohemian style when it comes to clothing, but I also love to see outfits that combine the structured look of boxy basics and the easy beauty of bohemian accents. I decided to go back to basics with this post, because I feel that it is important to know where our outfits originate. I know I am guilty of wearing the same outfits week after week and often forget how I created it. Madewell makes some really delicate bras that look great paired with a boxy skirt. Add a pair of fun shoes, some round sunglasses, and a flower crown, and you are set for Spring!

Blue Eyed Girl

Make Me Blush

I think that the outfits that have the most impact are the ones with mixed textures and colors. Recently, I have grown fond of romantic pastel and washed out color palettes. Layering chunky knit sweaters look great over delicate slips!
