Fall Trends feat. Isabel Marant

To me, Fall is the best season as far as fashion. It is a transitional season from warm to cooler weather where you can get away with basically any outfit you'd like. My favorite thing to do is layer summer dresses under sweaters and tunics.

Your Perfect Fall Outfit

Leather skirts are popping up everywhere from department stores and the runway. This Fall, having a leather skirt is a must. Pick one that falls at the knee or just above and pair it with a chunky knit pullover. To spice it up a bit, wear black chunky heels.

Keep your hair and makeup simple. Sleek hair into a low bun and secure with a few bobby pins and an elastic. Paint your nails a neutral color like Essie's 'Sand Tropez.' For the face, tight line your upper lids, apply two coats of mascara and swipe on some oxblood lipstick!

Dolce & Gabbana SS13: Get the Look

The looks from Dolce & Gabbana's SS13 collection were inspired by Dolce's native home, Sicily. The collection was constructed with a keen eye to the female figure. Models wore iconic oversized earrings in the shapes of street puppets were made from raffia as well as souvenir silk headscarfs. The Sicilian history was a vital part of the collection, which can be seen in the bright textile prints that were inspired by paintings and logos. Corsets and "crinolines" were made from bent cane like classic Sicilian baskets. 

Although very few will be wearing basket-like corsets, many will try and emulate the strong shapes and bold colors from the collection. I have put together a set of accessories that fit perfectly with this Sicilian masterpiece, and that you too can pull off!
